Earth Share and Earthwise have partnered in an effort to generate national awareness of reusable bags as an environmentally-friendly choice for reducing waste and pollution, and helping to preserve the beauty of the natural landscape. Stores participating in National Reusable Bag Day on Saturday, April 21, 2007 (the day before Earth Day), include over 2,000 grocery and retail locations that already offer Earthwise bags throughout their stores all year - some of which are even contributing a portion of their proceeds from the reusable bags sold during the day.
