California start-up Earthwise Bag Company, Inc. offers reusable shopping bags as an environmentally-friendly alternative to disposable paper and plastic bags. Earthwise sought to drive sales by raising awareness among its customers, including grocers, wineries, drug stores, and other nationwide retailers, as well as educate consumers on the benefits of reusable bags.

   
Results:
   

Resound launched an integrated communications program that included reaching out to national consumer and trade publications, securing participation in high-profile celebrity events, and creating and promoting a major awareness day for reusable bags in conjunction with Earth Day. The result: widespread media coverage, steadily rising sales, and interest from national environmental organizations for future partnerships.

Developed press messages and materials, including a full media kit with a company overview, professional bios, and press announcements.

Created the "National Reusable Bag Day" annual event prior to Earth Day , including sponsor solicitation and coordination, complete multi-year marketing plan, message/collateral development, , and media launch.

Launched ongoing PR outreach, securing features in top local, regional, national, and industry-trade media outlets, spanning print, television, and online.

Secured participation in high-profile celebrity events including California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Inauguration, the Eco-Friendly Lifestyle Suite at the Sundance Film Festival, and the Hell’s Kitchen Earth Fair NY sponsored by Good Magazine and New York Magazine.
